"During the weekend of July 9-10, 2016, I was traveling alone on I-70, heading to Hays, KS. Specific information started pouring in, including a particular location, day, time, and who to initially invite as I was being encouraged to start a non-denominational, inspirational women's group. I looked to my right, and I saw an actual billboard of Jesus that read, 'Jesus, I trust in you.' Two days later, I started following through with the specific information I was given. Things were quickly falling into place. I was pleasantly surprised by the positive feedback I was receiving, which aided me in the process of moving forward. I was definitely stepping out of my comfort zone, as I knew we would be talking more openly about God as well as our personal journeys. When we trust in God and follow His plan for us, it is amazing to witness the indescribable resulting outcome. I wasn’t sure what all God had in store, but I knew I had to trust Him and take it one step at a time. From these beginnings, it has transformed into an outreach ministry beyond anything we could have ever imagined! It is now not only for women, but for ALL! Boost in the Beginning
And here is where it all began! This picture represents most of the women who met weekly on Wednesday mornings at 6:30 a.m. in the basement of the Guaranty State Bank. The first 'Boost' gathering was on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. The last gathering in the bank location was on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 before moving to our God-led, non-denominational, open to all 'Boost Ministries® Foundation Blessing House' building. Our miracle, no-loan ownership was made official on August 4, 2018 and renovations quickly began! Needless to say, multiple expansions of this God-breathed outreach ministry quickly took place and continues to this day! Whether it be the 24/7 outdoor community blessing box, near daily Bible Studies, Wednesday pot-luck lunch, fellowship opportunities, monthly community luncheon, christian counseling, one-on-one to large group prayer partnering, Sunday Services, praise and worship, hospital visits, blessing bags, weekly grocery store prayer time, multiple mission outreaches, giving of Bibles, and so much more...we all need the boost! Helping others as we love, encourage, come alongside, and most importantly, point to Christ! Holy Spirit, You are welcome here! Going and growing with God!
All Glory to God
This group and experience has been indescribable. All Glory to God as He has led the way of Who, What, When, and Where. We prayerfully seek His will and do our best to listen and obey. The resulting outcome has been incredible! The Holy Spirit has been present throughout this journey, and we are well aware we couldn't do this without Him. Unity, connection, and growth...this is what this group represents. There is something truly unique and special happening within this ministry.
